The good news is Cisco Emergency Responder costs nothing extra in your Cisco Flex Plan. But the Flex Plan isn't the only cost!
Once you have CER deployed you can add 9Line to be compliant with Kari's Law and Ray Baum's Act in minutes. Our product, at just $1.00 per user, is the most affordable solution available on the market today.
Obtaining Cisco Emergency Responder
If you have a Cisco Flex Plan, you can download the CER installation files from your eDelivery notification. If you don't have a Flex Plan, perpetual licenses are no longer available.
Installing Cisco Emergency Responder
Once you have your installation ISO files from Cisco, provision the virtual machine templates and use the ISO to install. Pick the right version of CUCM that matches your existing version.
Configuration
CER takes time to configure once installed. You need floor plans for each building, network mapping of where cables go from patch panel to wall jack, and street addresses for each building.
When thinking about information for first responders, balance granularity with the complexity of your office space. A small store may not need many emergency locations, but larger facilities should invest in being more granular to help guide first responders as fast as possible.
